While we wait, part 2 ... the movie

HPatOotP is here just in time to get us in a Hogwarts frame of mind before we get the book. I'm going to see the movie this weekend. Has anybody else seen it yet -- and what do you think? As a side note, APL Children's is showing movies every Friday afternoon in July. The mania should be building nicely!

I saw the movie Saturday afternoon! I was exhausted when I got there, and I have to admit I thought the beginning was pretty slow. However the ending was awesome. I personally wished that the whole movie would have moved faster, with more action.

I saw it right after it came out. Enjoyable, but not exactly what you'd call true to the book, and many excellent characters (Ginny, in particular) were totally underused.

I went to the movie on Wednesday morning. I liked the movie, even though it did leave out a lot. You had to be paying VERY close attention to catch some things. Liked the flashbacks, but wish there had been more of other members of the OofP. I will watch it again and again, just like the other ones, just to see where I missed subtle clues.

I went to the movie last Saturday. It was good, but "Goblet of Fire" is still definitely my favorite Potter movie. "Phoenix" was somewhat slow --- I felt as though not much had happened when it was over.

We went on Saturday. One of us only saw the movies and never read the books. He thought this movie was the best so far. The rest of us thought they left out a lot of details, but we liked it anyway.

Luna was pretty cool, though. And Neville was really tall!

Yeah - our whole family liked the movie a lot, though we all missed some of our favorite things in the book. I thought the characterization of Luna was very good and fun & also liked Tonks!

I saw it Sunday morning (apparently a good time to see movies as it wasn't crowded) and I loved it. However, I do think a lot of small but important details were left out, making me wonder if people who haven't read the book aren't going "Huh?" half the time. Still, I'll definitely being going at least once more.
